I agree with you. It shouldn't matter! I think it's neat she wanted a pie instead of a cake!
I was born on Thanksgiving so there were quite a few times I wanted Pie instead of cake lol...yes, it sounds as if everything will be ok...God is awesome!
Great idea, a nice change of pace and not nearly as much work.

When my daughter was young I let her and her step-brother & sister pick what they wanted. It was usually a birthday brownie! Yum! I always asked them how they wanted it decorated too... Until that year... S-B wanted a poodle with balloons! OK, I'm not an artist. It turned out pretty good though. Maybe I'll post the pic someday.
I think it's cool having a pie, I won't mind having a birthday pizza. hehe
