SPIRITUAL SUNDAYS

Spiritual Sundays is where you can write a little something spiritual, a favorite scripture, poem, song or even a prayer. It is hosted by Charlotte and Ginger. Click on the link to join or to read other Spiritual Sundays posts. http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/

Saints are sinners who kept on going.~Robert Louis Stevenson

The church is the great lost and found department.~Robert Short

God can pick sense out of a confused prayer.~Richard Sibbes

I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish he didn't trust me so much.~Mother Teresa

I have a special prayer request for my blogging friends. My Mom who is 91 and still lives in her home, fell and is in the hospital. Amazingly she didn't break anything, but she is in a lot of pain. She is in Wisconsin and I am in Michigan. My 2 sisters and a brother live close by to her, but now they have to make the decision whether or not she can go back home and continue to live by herself. Please pray for her and pray that my family makes the right decision. Thanks Anne

p.s. I also have a close friend who fell and broke both of her elbows. She lives alone and is a very busy and independant woman. She is a widow but has 2 sons and friends to help her, but she also needs some prayers.

I am glad to hear that your mom did not break anything. I'm sure that your brothers and sisters love her and want the best, but this is a difficult time of decisions. I understand how it feels to be far away while stuff like this goes on; it happened to me (with my mom) too. I will pray for your mom and for you.

I'll pray for wisdom for them in this decision. MY MIL is in the hospital too. She has a broken vertebra. Your mother's safety is very important, but so is her peace of mind. Understanding how to balance those things is the hard psrt!

Liked your quotes! Will pray for your mother and this very hard decision. I have a grandmother that is 93 years "young" and my Uncle stays with her in her home as she refuses to go to a care facility. Very hard decision indeed and our family totally understands all that the decision entails. God Bless you and your Family.

Anne,

Your Mother needs someone that she can be with, right now. I know how you feel concerning your Mom, at her age, I think she could hardly do the things that she usually do, and now is the time to be supportive.

Sometimes it depends with the elderlies, they prefer to be alone in their homes because they were used to that, like my grandfather, but we make sure there is someone that he can call to whenever he needs help.

My prayers for you and your family. Everything will be fine Anne. And I hope you'll come up with the right decision.

Love AL
